A new series of silk scarves based on my designs is on its way to San Francisco’s de Young Museum. They will be featured in the Museum Store during the Bouquets to Art exhibit in April. I will be showing new work at Dennis Rae Fine Art in St. Helena, CA now through September 7. Opening reception is Friday, July 25 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Take a break from wine tasting or sightseeing in the beautiful Napa Valley and sample some fresh art!
It’s spring at San Francisco’s de Young Museum! Because of the current Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit (through May 11) and the upcoming Bouquets to Art exhibit (March 18-23), the museum stores are full of flower-themed merchandise, including scarves and notecards based on my artwork.
“The World Up Close”, a solo exhibit of large flower images along with some brand new pint-sized landscapes, opens Feb. 20 at the Sebastopol (CA) Center for the Arts. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6-7:30 pm. The exhibit runs through April 1.
I’m putting the finishing touches on some current works in progress and starting the annual process of getting my studio ready for Sonoma County ARTrails. I will be one of 150 artists opening our studios to the public on Oct. 12-13 and 19-20.
The pastel “Green Sea” has been selected for inclusion in “Up, Up and Away”, a national juried exhibition opening at the Sebastopol (CA) Center for the Arts. I received many wonderful submissions to my title contest. It was so difficult to choose, but my newest painting finally has a title: Sheherezade. This evocative title was suggested by Mr. Steve Trenam. Thanks to all who answered my call for entries and shared their thoughtful, clever ideas. Your participation is much appreciated.
